Spring activities. Near Innsbruck
The days are getting longer and warmer at the same time. In the old town of Hall, people are already sitting in the sun on the Oberer Stadtplatz. Whilst they enjoy their first summer drink, children are already relishing the season’s first ice cream. In the background, you can hear the sound of heavy ski boots on the cobblestones of the medieval town: skiers returning home, content after a fantastic day’s skiing in the sunshine on the Glungezer.
Whilst some are enjoying the urban springtime surroundings, nature lovers are already out and about on the first spring walks in the wonderful Karwendel Nature Park on their first spring hikes. Whether on the Besinnungsweg or perhaps already heading up towards St. Magdalena in the Halltal – naturally, always taking into account the snow conditions, which can still pose dangers even in spring.
Families with children and lovers of crystal and sparkle stroll through the Swarovski Crystal Worlds park, which has transformed into a colourful sea of blossoms after winter.
The idyllic countryside of the villages not far from Innsbruck provides the perfect setting for enjoyable spring days. Whether it’s a wine tasting, a leisurely cycle tour with the whole family, a stroll through blossoming orchards or a visit to a farmers’ market – spring can be seen, smelled and tasted everywhere.
