Glungezer-Hütte 2610

Food & Beverage

Welcome to the Glungezer Hut 2,610
The Glungezer Hut, the ‘gateway to the Tux Alps’, is a refuge belonging to the Alpenverein Hall in Tirol and is situated in an exposed location like an ‘eagle's nest’ at 2,610 m above the Inn Valley and the Viggartal valley at the saddle between the Glungezer summit (2,677 m) and the Sonnenspitze (2,639 m). It is the highest ÖAV summit hut in Tyrol and the highest hut above the Inn Valley that is open in both summer and winter (10 months) and has over 50 beds.

On a clear day, the summit offers a magnificent panorama with around 500 peaks, ridges and passes, including many three-thousand-metre peaks.
The hut is one of the most traditional ski touring destinations in western Austria and offers a variety of day tours, especially in summer, and access via the 1st “fable via ferrata” in Austria. The Glungezer Hut is also a stage destination and a junction for important short and long-distance hiking trails and multi-day tours, such as the ‘Inntal High Trail’ and the ‘Dream Path Munich-Venice’ Alpine crossing and the unique 7 tuXer summitsridge crossing.

Please note that, for organisational reasons, overnight stays can only be booked via the online booking portal.
