The Boandlkramer and Eternal Love. Film shoot

In the Hall-Wattens region (Tyrol), the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens provided the backdrop for the film “Der Boandlkramer und die ewige Liebe”. Filming took place in the “Eden” chamber of wonders by the artist duo Fredrikson Stallard and in the Crystal Dome. A total of 18 chambers of wonders enchant visitors at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. Back in 2008, the Boandlkramer character delighted audiences in Joseph Vilsmaier’s hit film “Die Geschichte vom Brandner Kaspar”. In his latest work, Joseph Vilsmaier has now dedicated an entire film to him. “Der Boandlkramer und die ewige Liebe” brings together Germany’s top entertainers, Michael Bully Herbig and Hape Kerkeling, on the big screen for the first time.

Summary of the film

“Der Boandlkramer und die ewige Liebe” is a charming and humorous German comedy film. The story centres on the Boandlkramer, a folk figure representing Death from Bavarian mythology. In this film, the Boandlkramer unexpectedly falls in love with Gefi, a mortal girl. His unfamiliar feelings lead to all sorts of comical and touching situations. He even asks the Devil for advice, which leads to a turbulent series of events. The film lovingly blends Bavarian traditions with a modern twist, offering a unique story about love, life and the inevitability of death, all wrapped up in a cloak of humour and warmth.
