The film was released in Austrian cinemas on 31 October 2014: The film is about one of Germany’s greatest poets, Friedrich Schiller (played by Florian Stetter), and his relationship with the sisters Caroline von Beulwitz (Hannah Herzsprung) and Charlotte von Lengefeld (Henriette Confurius).
Some of the film’s scenes were shot in Tyrol’s ‘film capital’, Hall in Tirol – specifically in the area around Ritter Waldauf-Straße and Salvatorgasse. Visit the Hall-Wattens region and walk in the footsteps of the film’s original locations.
Summary of the film
Throughout a sweltering summer, two sisters vie for the affections of a man they both love: the beautiful Caroline von Beulwitz (Hannah Herzsprung) is unhappily married and longs for love and a fuller life. Charlotte von Lengefeld (Henriette Confurius), her shy sister, dreams of a husband.
