SOKO Kitzbühel with Kristina Sprenger filmed in Hall in Tirol. The film team led by Kristina Sprenger (alias Karin Kofler) and Jakob Seeböck (Lukas Roither) spent two days filming at Hasegg Castle in Hall in Tirol. The castle served as the backdrop for a former children's home, where the investigation takes place.
This episode is also the last in which Kristina Sprenger plays Karin Kofler. The well-known Tyrolean actress, who incidentally is Austria's longest-serving TV detective, announced her departure from the successful series in July 2013.
Soko Kitzbühel has now been running successfully on ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) for more than 12 years. With an audience of up to 1.3 million viewers, it is one of the most successful crime dramas in Austria.
