The Glungezerbahn ski resort opens this winter on 16 December 2022, offering not only skiers a wide variety of fun on the slopes, but also tobogganers and winter walkers, who can enjoy the wintery scenery and stunning views on the mountain.

The “Tulfein-Express” combined lift (6-seater chairlift and spacious 10-seater gondolas), which opened last year and runs from the Halsmarter midway station to the Tulfein top station, once again offers the highest level of comfort this year on the way up to the slopes. Perfect panoramic views of the Karwendel Mountains and the Inn Valley, as well as over 23 kilometres of slopes, are waiting to be enjoyed. Two designated winter walking trails invite you to discover the magnificent mountain scenery on foot. One of these is new: from this winter onwards, the Halsmarter Panorama Trail takes just one hour to walk from the Halsmarter midway station through the unspoilt winter forest towards Stiftsalm in the Voldertal valley and back to the Halsmarter midway station via a recently created winter hiking trail.

New toboggan run, 3.5 kilometres long

The “Tulfein Express” now also takes tobogganists from the Halsmarter midway station up to over 2,000 metres above sea level. The descent takes them back down to the midway station along a route over 3.5 kilometres long with ten hairpin bends. As well as special, attractive tickets for tobogganists, toboggan hire is also available at the Alpengasthof Halsmarter. The ski touring evenings are back again this winter: every Monday and Tuesday, the gondola lift to the Halsmarter mid-station operates until 10.15 pm.

This year’s winter season at Glungezer begins on 8 December 2021 and runs until 10 April 2022 (weather permitting). The Glungezerbahn is open daily from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. The current Covid-19 regulations apply throughout the ski resort.
