Stadtführung Hall in Tirol

Every Friday at 2:00 PM, guests of the Hall-Wattens region can participate in the tavern tour "Prost & Mahlzeit" in Hall in Tyrol as part of the weekly program.

A culinary tour of a special kind is offered by the new themed city tour of the TVB Hall-Wattens. Austria guide Mag. Katharina Nagy has thoroughly engaged with the centuries-old tradition of the inn or tavern in Hall and has created a captivating route through Hall's charming alleys. This new walk leads through Tyrol's largest old town and provides insight into its fascinating house stories, offers anecdotes, and interesting facts about food and drink. Cheers and enjoy your meal!

On three exclusive dates, the tourism association offers the opportunity to enjoy Hall from a bird's-eye view in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Münze Hall Museum. During a tour lasting about an hour, we ascend the Haller landmark, the Münzerturm, and enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Inn Valley and Karwendel. The history of the world's first thaler and an overview of Hall's centuries-old city history complete the tour, which ends at the Upper Town Square, in the heart of the Haller Old Town.

Discover narrow alleys, charming squares, "talking" signs, and the main attractions of the largest old town in Tyrol. City tours take place in the summer month of AUGUST every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 10:00 a.m.!

The 700-year-old town is located 10 km east of Innsbruck and was the largest and most significant town in North Tyrol during the Middle Ages. Rich salt deposits caused the town to flourish as early as the 13th century. When the princely mint from Meran in South Tyrol was moved to Hall in the 15th century, the importance of the town continued to grow. In 1486, the first thaler in the world was minted in Hall.

In the center of the old town, there is one of the most beautiful squares in Austria, the Upper Town Square. Particularly worth seeing are the late Gothic parish church of St. Nicholas, the town hall, and the Magdalene Chapel.

The Thaurer Schlossbichl has amazing things to offer. A little church, whose history dates back over 1500 years. A landscape of ruins, whose walls tell stories of a great past. And in between, a small but fine museum. Not to forget, the inn for enjoyment in a dreamlike scenic location!

A culinary bike tour through the Hall-Wattens region takes you directly to the best farm shops and direct marketers in the area. On this delightful journey, cyclists discover fresh, seasonal products such as handmade cheese, hearty bacon, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as regional specialties.

The route leads through idyllic villages and picturesque landscapes, where each stop provides an opportunity to learn more about local agriculture and purchase products directly from the producers. This tour combines enjoyment of nature with the purchase of authentic, sustainably produced food, offering a unique insight into Tyrolean agriculture.
