A picturesque town view with traditional buildings and snow-covered mountains in the background. The tranquil atmosphere is enhanced by the soft light of the sunrise.

Discover narrow alleyways, charming squares, "talking" signs, and the main sights of the largest old town in Tyrol. City tours take place on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 10:00 AM.

The 700-year-old town is located 10 km east of Innsbruck and was the largest and most significant town in North Tyrol during the Middle Ages. Rich salt deposits allowed the town to flourish as early as the 13th century. When in the 15th century the princely mint from Meran in South Tyrol was moved to Hall, the importance of the town grew further. In the year 1486, the first thaler in the world was minted in Hall.

At the center of the old town is one of the most beautiful squares in Austria, the Upper Town Square. Noteworthy are the late Gothic parish church of St. Nicholas, the town hall, and the Magdalene Chapel.

Together with star guide.tirol Tobias Muster, families can playfully discover the sparkling starry sky during this Christmas children's star tour in the courtyard of the Münze Hall: What are the most famous constellations and their most beautiful stories? How can one orient themselves in the starry sky? What do animals do at night? The highlight of the tour is a walk through the starry sky with the telescope.

Every Friday at 2:00 PM, guests of the Hall-Wattens region can participate in a guided hike at Wattenberg as part of the winter week program.

In cold temperatures, we look forward to our furry companions, who we can warm up to again and again. “Lamapapa” Hans introduces us to his “family”: We get up close with the clever hiking partners and explore the Wattenberg forest together. In the process, we learn a lot of new things about the friendly cloven-hoofed animals. Let's go!
