Reflection, contemplation and moments of tranquillity. Group programme organised by the Hall-Wattens region

As part of the themed tour ‘The Pilgrimage – Then and Now’, visitors discover the main sights, churches and monasteries of Hall in Tirol, as well as the significant pilgrimage site of Absam. Ever since the Virgin Mary appeared to Rosina Bucher there in 1797, the town has attracted pilgrims from near and far. Whilst visiting the famous pilgrimage church – Absam’s ‘Basilica minor’, which forms the spiritual centre of Tyrol’s best-known Marian pilgrimage site – guests learn a great deal of interesting information about pilgrimage in the region. During our guided walk along the Contemplation Trail in Gnadenwald, guests hike through unspoilt nature between the Walder Chapel and St Martin’s Monastery. This pleasant circular walk draws attention to the unassuming and the taken-for-granted, and is based on the Beatitudes of Jesus Christ. It allows you to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life, brings peace and strength, and offers moments for reflection and ‘finding oneself’.
