Carving and displaying nativity scenes has a long and proud tradition in Tirol. In the run-up to Christmas there are many exhibitions on show throughout the region showcasing this craft passed down from one generation to the next. Special guided tours are offered in the villages of the Hall-Wattens region for those keen to learn more about this long-standing tradition.
This year our tour starts at the parish church in the village Thaur. From there we will visit private households, to have a look on the different kind of nativity scenes. To keep strong, healthy and warm we will drink tyrolean liquor!
