Kugelwald. For school groups
The Kugelwald and the surrounding area are ideal for organising educational sessions and group excursions. The laws of nature and physics are demonstrated in the Kugelwald without any technical frills. The movement of the balls gets things moving in a playful way. At the Forest School, a section of the Ball Forest on the Glungezer, it is possible to run workshops for groups, as the densely wooded slopes of the Glungezer provide the ideal environment for forest education and group dynamics sessions.
Service for teachers, group leaders and educators
The Forest Classroom offers you an ideal setting for practical sessions, play programmes or school lessons in the great outdoors. If you book in advance, you can collect a ‘forest school box’ from the hire centre, filled with learning aids to complement the educational materials (dice for outdoor games, marking cord, paints, paintbrushes, magnifying glasses). These are available from the hire office for a hire fee of €25: a set of Swiss stone pine balls is available for a deposit of €50 (refunded upon proper return)
