A true feast for the senses is the selection of Italian specialties from Massimo Gelardi in his new store at Krippgasse 20. For twenty years, the native Neapolitan has been merging his passion for fine foods with trade. In Hall in Tirol, Gelardi is well known, having previously operated a shop in Schlossergasse, and he is an integral part of the Advent market with his Italian products.
He remains true to his philosophy of the highest quality in the new store, where he offers, among other things, red and white wines from small local producers, such as Primitivo from Apulia or white wine from Lake Garda. Every Monday, he travels back to his homeland to supply his customers in Tyrol with new products. Thus, there are always fresh specialties available from Tuesday, such as from Massimiliano's hometown of Naples, including the excellent Gorgonzola with mascarpone and nuts. Other delights include truffle-infused salami, flavorful oils, pestos, and ten different types of cheese from all regions of Italy, which can be happily tasted with a glass of red wine or Prosecco in the shop. A special treat is also the South Tyrolean speck from straw pigs. The name refers to the animal-friendly rearing in open stalls on straw bedding. Also available: twelve different handmade pasta varieties, some of which are also made in organic quality.
