Cross-country skiing is very much in vogue as a particularly healthy sport and guarantees unforgettable experiences in the great outdoors! Nature lovers and sports enthusiasts alike appreciate the region’s cross-country skiing facilities. In the villages of Absam/Gnadenwald and Tulfes/Rinn, over 40 kilometres of cross-country trails await fans of the sport. There is hardly any other sport that strengthens muscles and joints whilst being so gentle on them as cross-country skiing. The sport is easy to learn at any age, can be practised well into old age and is a great way to keep fit. Cross-country skiing keeps you young!

On the Sonnenplateau in Gnadenwald, cross-country skiing is free for visitors and locals alike! Depending on snow conditions, the cross-country trail features 10 kilometres of classic-style tracks and 8 kilometres of skating-style tracks.
For legal reasons, the use of headlamps on the trail is expressly prohibited!
