How to get there. By car

All 11 towns in the Hall-Wattens region are easily accessible via well-maintained federal and regional roads. From 1 November to 15 April, there is a general requirement to use winter tyres in Austria in wintry driving conditions, such as snow-covered roads, slush or ice.

On Austrian motorways, it is compulsory to have a vignette. Vignettes can be purchased at all tobacconists, petrol stations and online. More on the vignette requirement.

In the event of traffic build-up or slow-moving traffic, forming a emergency corridor on Austrian motorways is compulsory. This obligation applies even before traffic comes to a standstill and even if no emergency vehicle is yet approaching.
