Semino Rossi. A Schlager star from the Hall-Wattens region
The Argentine-born pop star Semino Rossi has close ties to the Hall-Wattens region, having chosen the tranquil and peaceful little village of Mils near Hall in Tyrol as his home.
Both his parents were musical, so his passion for music is no surprise. Having grown up in modest circumstances, he first tried to make a name for himself with his music in Spain. Things did not go as expected there, and success was still some way off. It was only in Austria that he finally managed to make a name for himself. More specifically, in Innsbruck, where he was hired as a singer for the ‘World Masters of Latin American Dance’. From then on, his career took off rapidly.
Semino Rossi’s musical career
With over 3.5 million records sold, numerous gold and platinum awards, and sold-out concert halls – Semino Rossi has long since reached for the stars in the Schlager firmament. He has been one of the scene’s most successful stars for years, and his soulful songs invite listeners to dream.
For almost 15 years now, Semino has been thrilling his audience with his South American passion. It all began as a street musician in Spain, after he had left his homeland of Argentina. But it was only in Austria that he really took off. To date, he has performed at some of Austria’s most famous hotels, as well as at events such as “Licht ins Dunkel”. A refreshing blend of German Schlager, international pop music and Latin American spirit, sung in German and Spanish, continues to captivate his large fan base time and again.
He is also a welcome guest in the region, and in 2012 he thrilled his fans at the Semino Rossi Open Air in the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. Set against the backdrop of the magnificent Tyrolean mountains, Semino Rossi performed tracks from his album “Augenblicke”, as well as many of his most popular songs. A particularly emotional moment was his rendition of the single “Das Tor zum Himmel ist die Liebe” – a declaration of love to his wife set to music. A large orchestra accompanied Semino at this open-air concert, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
And in July 2015, too, numerous fans made the pilgrimage to the small village of Mils near Hall in Tyrol to attend the Schlager festival there. Semino Rossi invited everyone to his home town and wowed the crowd alongside other Schlager stars such as Gilbert and Francine Jordi!
The charming musician also shares his success with others and is deeply committed to supporting good causes. The children in his home region are particularly important to him. He supports them by ensuring they receive an education, medical care and a healthy diet.
The Hall-Wattens region is proud that a global star with such a remarkable personality as Semino Rossi has found a second home here.
