Stunning slopes, fantastic views and the warming spring sunshine ensure the very best skiing experience at Glungezer. Particularly in late winter, the Glungezerbahn ski resort, with its varied and sunny slopes, attracts not only keen skiers and snowboarders but also families with children.

What could be better than a relaxing day’s skiing on a mild spring’s day? At Glungezer, 23 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes invite you to enjoy some skiing in the sunshine – with magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding mountain peaks and the Inn Valley included!

Convenient access is also guaranteed, as the 10-seater gondola lift takes you directly into the ski area to the Halsmarter midway station in just six and a half minutes. The inviting sun-drenched terraces of the ski resort’s restaurants are the perfect place to feast and relax: the ideal way to recharge your batteries for the next runs.

Things to do on the Glungezer: panoramic toboggan run and high-altitude winter walking trails

Anyone who, as well as skiing, would like to enjoy the descent on a sledge can whizz down the 3.5-kilometre-long panoramic toboggan run, which features no fewer than 17 hairpin bends. From the mountain station down to the Halsmarter midway station, the winding toboggan run follows the edge of the forest and offers spectacular views of the Karwendel Mountains.

The Halsmarter Panorama Loop also begins at the middle station – this easy winter walk follows an almost flat path at 1,600 metres above sea level into the winter forest, offering magnificent views of the Voldertal valley, and takes around an hour.

Ski-touring and tobogganing evenings also take place in winter: every Tuesday and Thursday, the gondola lift to the middle station operates until 10.15 pm.
