Provenance label for natural toboggan runs from the Province of Tyrol

The Province of Tyrol’s quality mark ensures a standardised classification of natural toboggan runs in Tyrol. Safety, risk mitigation and the general profile of the toboggan run – including gradients, bends and braking zones – are assessed and deemed to meet the required standards. The Panorama toboggan run on the Glungezer has now also been awarded this natural toboggan run quality mark.

Sledging fun on the Glungezer

The panoramic toboggan run on the Glungezer therefore not only offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountain landscape, but also safe tobogganing fun for the whole family. The 3.5-kilometre-long toboggan run stretches from the Tulfein mountain station along the edge of the forest to the Halsmarter midway station. On the way down, fantastic views of the Karwendel Mountains unfold whilst you enjoy snow-filled fun on the winding run. Sledges can be hired on site at the Gasthof Halsmarter at the middle station, as can head torches. Sledging evenings take place every Tuesday and Thursday; the toboggan run is not floodlit on these occasions.
