Background: Since summer 2021, the Hall-Wattens Tourist Board has been offering a treasure hunt designed especially for young families. Children, accompanied by an adult, get to discover Hall in a whole new way: a treasure map leads curious little detectives to a total of 14 stations, where they must answer tricky questions and demonstrate their dexterity and acting skills. At the end of the approximately two-hour tour through the town, a treasure chest filled with a sparkling surprise awaits – provided, of course, that they’ve managed to crack the riddle!

“More than 800 families have so far embraced this new initiative with enthusiasm. Learning about our town’s rich history in a playful way – quite apart from the educational value of this kind of cultural engagement – is possible at any time and isn’t tied to specific guided tour times. Hall’s restaurants and retailers have also benefited, as most families have made purchases during or after the treasure hunt, stopped off at a restaurant or café, or at least got a taste for it and will be back soon,” says Anita Töchterle-Graber from the Tourist Board.

There will be another prize-giving ceremony next year. A treasure hunt pack is available for EUR 3 from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm at the Hall Tourist Office at Unterer Stadtplatz 19.
