Absam Village Festival. Press release
On Friday 19 and Saturday 20 August 2022, the time has finally come again: the popular Absam Village Festival will be taking place in the village centre.
The festival will open on Friday 19 August at Stamserplatz. At 6 pm, the beer will be tapped by Olympic medallist Lukas Greiderer.
Along the large festival street, which stretches across the entire village centre, a total of 18 local clubs and the local restaurants offer top-class entertainment, culinary delights and attractions for all ages.
Alongside culinary delights ranging from Absam Bräu to Absam wine and cider, lamb specialities, Zillertal doughnuts, Tyrolean Grösl, schnitzel, sausages, crêpes and much more, there are further highlights: The village ‘Watschelen’ championship (Saturday, 2 pm), bag jump, archery, beer slide, high-strung hammer, wheel of fortune, as well as a packed children’s programme on Saturday from 2 pm
The musical programme features plenty of live music (The Boons, Just 4 fun, Cherry Bomb, Sonnwend) and a disco. A delegation from the Absam Citizens’ Band will also be in attendance.
