Award-winning restaurants and Michelin-starred restaurants in Tyrol
Gault Millau-awarded restaurants in Central Tyrol
Fine dining in Innsbruck and the surrounding area – this has recently become possible at Michelin-starred establishments too.
Michelin stars in Tyrol are as rare as edelweiss on the mountains. This makes it all the more delightful that, in the Hall-Wattens region, one of these gems has set up shop right in the heart of Hall’s old town.

Johannes Nuding has now also been awarded a Michelin star
Since January 2025, the top chef from Hall has not only been awarded three toques by Gault Millau, but also two Michelin stars. The reviewers praised the harmonious “combination of ingredients, spices, textures and flavours, the fantastic quality and the warm service.”

Restaurant recommendations in Hall and the surrounding area
But even without stars or toques, there are plenty of places in the Hall-Wattens region where you can enjoy an excellent meal.
For example, at the “Bretze” in Hall.
The Bretze has been completely renovated and modernised in recent years. The interplay of old and new runs through the entire establishment. In the kitchen, traditional pub fare is given a playful, personal touch. The bar is the place to go for an after-work beer, a relaxed evening or to kick off the night. Accommodation is provided by three charming holiday studios with a garden, right in Hall’s old town. The gallery offers the ideal setting for exhibitions, readings, theatre and much more.
