Locandy – Hidden Echo. Press release

Following on from the treasure hunt for children and families, the Hall-Wattens Region Tourist Board, in collaboration with Michael Ölhafen’s team (Locandy), has developed a new app for young people and adults entitled “Hidden Hall – A Town to Fall in Love With!”

“Our experience over recent years has shown us that our guests also enjoy being interactive and active at any time of day, and want to explore the city at their own pace and on their own terms. At times, due to the pandemic, there was simply no other option. Through a colourful mix of history, stories, anecdotes, poems and recipes, you can now experience Hall’s town history in a completely different way. Both visitors and locals are invited to come to the tourist office, where they can download the app via a QR code. Although you can listen to the first of ten stops as a taster on our website beforehand, every subsequent stop is only accessible in person, i.e. on site. “To do this, you need to make your way to Hall, be there in person, and embark on a journey back to the Middle Ages,” says Anita Töchterle-Graber, who, together with Dr Barbara Thaler from Locandy, is responsible for the tour’s content.

“You’ll need a smartphone and your own headphones, especially for visiting the parish church. Silent Cinema, then – a treat for all the senses, an escape from everyday life, where you let GPS guide you to a total of 10 stops whilst listening to fantastic music by Herbert Pixner, who has kindly provided us with two of his tracks (‘Summer Bossa’ and ‘Nur für dich allein’). His music blends tradition and modernity and provides the perfect musical backdrop for our new virtual city tour,” according to the praise from the tourist office.
