Not exactly an insider’s tip, but a real gem for connoisseurs is the restaurant “ Die Wurstkultur”, right on the Oberer Stadtplatz. Creative, ever-changing and delicious dishes invite you to savour the moment and linger a while. Fabio and Giusi Valentis run the “La Brioche” ice-cream parlour. As well as classics such as vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream, there are plenty of unusual specialities to discover. Fabio transforms regional milk (from Weberhof Mils) into the finest Italian ice cream. The ice cream specialities are served in a tub, a cone or, on request, with a brioche.

Right in the heart of the Old Town is the Vineria Ombra. A small Italian wine bar. At Ombra, you’ll be delighted by a selection of Italian wines and specialities. Davvero un piacere!
A grocery shop called ‘Ghiottoneria’, which is part of the wine shop, is located on the ground floor. As well as offering a wide range of Italian delicacies, Marco and his team also serve set lunch menus.

The traditional inn “Gasthaus zur Krippe” has been run by the Marra family from Jesolo since 2010. Surrounded by an Italian ambience, you can dine here both in the vine-arbour in the outdoor dining area and in the newly renovated restaurant and bar area. Alongside delicious pizzas, the menu features fish and pasta dishes. Tip: Fresh fish and seafood are delivered on Wednesdays and Fridays.
