New highlights at the Haller Advent Market 2026

This year, the Hall Advent Market is introducing a number of new features and additional attractions. The Advent Market opens on 20 November 2026 and will be open daily until 24 December.

In particular, the area around the Marktanger in Hall’s old town is being transformed this year into a experience zone: here you can look forward to a varied programme combining activities, sport and entertainment. The ice-skating rink, a dedicated curling lane, a children’s carousel and the petting zoo, together with food stalls, will create a festive atmosphere for young and old alike. The popular illuminated Advent calendar is also on display at the Marktanger this year, adding to the festive ambience.

Alongside traditional delicacies such as Tyrolean Kiachln – which, of course, are a must at the Hall Advent Market – there’s a sweet new addition this year: freshly made waffles are on offer every day.

Traditional crafts also have a firm place at the Hall Advent Market. Handcrafted products, lovingly made one-off pieces and special gift ideas invite you to explore. Thanks to a constantly changing line-up of small craft businesses, the range on offer at the market remains varied at all times.

There is also an addition to the programme for younger visitors: on 22 November at 5 pm, a medieval children’s dance is on the programme, complementing the daily activities for families and children.

Not new, but all the more worth seeing, is the ‘Starlight Magic at the Hall Advent Market’ event. Every Friday from 27 November to 18 December, from 6 pm to 7 pm, anyone interested can use a telescope to observe the festive starry sky at the Upper Town Square.

On Sunday 6 December 2026 at 5.30 pm, St Nicholas, accompanied by angels and shepherds, will make a festive entrance to the Hall Advent Market, where he will welcome young and old alike with a song and a contemplative address.

Special musical experiences at the Hall in Tirol Advent market

Music takes on a very special significance during the Advent season: choirs, brass bands and music groups from Hall in Tirol and the surrounding region create a contemplative and festive atmosphere at the Hall Advent Market every day from 6 pm with their atmospheric performances. This year, we’d particularly like to recommend the following performances to you:

During the communal Advent carol singing at the Hall Advent Market, Maik Baumgartner and his daughter Julia Trattner will lead the singing of traditional Tyrolean Advent carols, accompanying the singers on the harmonica, ukulele and wooden Glachter. All visitors are warmly invited to join in the singing. Free songbooks from the Tyrolean Folk Music Association are available and you’re welcome to take them home with you.

Dates: 26 November and 3, 10 and 17 December 2026, from 6 pm to 7 pm each day on the Märchenbühne.

Margie Sackl & the Yodelling Quartet invite you to the Hall Advent Market for atmospheric evenings of traditional and Advent-themed yodelling. A musical treat to listen to and join in with, creating contemplative Advent moments.

Dates: Tuesday 1 and 15 December 2026, at 6 pm on each occasion.
