Blog. Brunch – Five hidden gems in Hall and the surrounding area
“Breakfast is the loveliest of all meals. You’re well-rested and full of vigour, haven’t had any annoyances yet, and are brimming with new hopes and plans.” (Heinrich Spörl)
We wholeheartedly agree with this quote – and because we know that many of you are always on the lookout for a lovely spot for breakfast and brunch, here are five more or less secret tips for a festive morning feast.
Café Erzspeicher. Brunch in Hall in Tirol

A cosy armchair, a spacious table for a natter, or perhaps a spot by the antique piano? At Café Erzspeicher in Hall’s ‘Untere Lend’ district, just a short way from the hustle and bustle of Hall’s old town, everyone can find their perfect spot – and then enjoy a wonderful selection of breakfasts. Once a ship’s warehouse, this 17th-century building has been lovingly and meticulously restored by its owner, Barbara Hofler. Since 2019, W.I.R. gemeinnützige GmbH has been running the café as an inclusive daytime café – where people with and without disabilities look after the guests’ needs.
Café Erzspeicher offers regional produce – such as homemade jams, moist cakes, indulgent specialities like French toast, as well as pre-selected breakfast combinations.
For those with a modest appetite, there’s the ‘Nuns’ Breakfast’ with a slice of bread and butter; whilst the ‘Feast for Two’, featuring sausage specialities and cheese, spreads, a bread basket, butter and free-range eggs, will leave even the hungriest of appetites thoroughly satisfied. Delicious: the “Erzspeicher” muesli with spelt, nuts, linseeds, banana and chocolate sauce.

Weberhof. Brunch in Mils

Breakfast at the farm
Every Friday, you can enjoy breakfast at the idyllic Weberhof in Mils; you can choose between the ‘Full Breakfast’ – featuring a selection of pastries, ham, cheese, spreads, jam, butter, cake, juice and yoghurt, as well as the ‘Small Breakfast’ with a hot drink of your choice, freshly baked farmhouse bread, milk plait, spreads, jam & butter. The ‘Large Breakfast’ – which might just as well be called the ‘Giant Breakfast’, as it includes, in addition to the Small Breakfast, a variety of pastries (pretzels, Vinschgerl), ham, cheese, yoghurt, juice and homemade cake, which, by the way, tastes heavenly.
Places are limited; therefore, it is advisable to book as early as possible.
Tip: Why not take some of the wonderful fresh farmhouse bread or other specialities from the farm market back home with you straight away? Delicious milk and cheese products, produced in the farm’s own dairy, are also available.
