Der Grafenhof. Equestrian Therapy Centre
The Grafenhof, situated in the Gasteig area near Tulfes, is set in a beautiful recreational area approximately 15 km from Innsbruck. Here you can enjoy a stunning view of Tyrol’s majestic mountains. Our family-run farm is easy to reach and lies far away from smog and traffic noise.
Therapeutic riding is a holistic support and therapy method for children, young people and adults, in which the horse plays a central role as a co-therapist. The resulting interaction through movement and the bond formed can provide new impetus for development, even for clients who have grown weary of therapy. The therapeutic riding programme incorporates educational, psychological, psychotherapeutic, rehabilitative and socio-integrative elements. The focus here is not so much on equestrian training, but rather on the individual development of each client, both from the horse’s back and from the ground. “Being with the horse” and the emotional connection that arises from this are the be-all and end-all of every therapy session.
