Castle Summer. Hall in Tyrol

At Burgsommer Hall, tradition is upheld just as much as innovation is embraced. Regional and national cultural endeavours in dialogue: concerts, theatre, exhibitions … “For us, diversity is the most important guiding principle in our cultural work,” says chairman Johannes Tusch. Clubs from Hall, regional organisers and national and international artists all find a platform to showcase their work here every year. Culture lovers can enjoy entertaining, informative, light-hearted and thought-provoking … summer evenings. The beautiful Hasegg Castle is brought to life with a wide variety of cultural events, thus fulfilling its purpose – as a historic cultural venue – in an innovative way.

In 2008, under the patronage of Johannes Tusch, Hall’s Councillor for Culture, the “Association for the Promotion of Culture at Hasegg Castle” was founded – with the aim of launching a diverse programme of events. “Hasegg Castle is a gem that should be brought to life with cultural events in order to attract as many visitors as possible,” says Johannes Tusch. Since then, high-calibre concerts, theatre productions and exhibitions have been taking place under the umbrella of the “Burg Sommer” programme. Above all, Hall’s cultural practitioners across all genres are to find a platform for their work at Hasegg Castle. Local colour is important, but supra-regional cultural projects also have their place in the wide-ranging programme.
