Bonjour Paris – a taste of French lifestyle in Wattens
A stroll through the gardens of the Swarovski Kristallwelten is always something special. But this summer, there’s an extra touch of Paris in the air: Performers are wandering through the park, music is playing, and the next little surprise might just be waiting round the next corner. From 10 July to 30 August 2026, the Roncalli Circus Theatre is back in Wattens. Under the motto “Bonjour Paris!”, the Giant’s Garden is transformed daily into a vast open-air stage. Performances take place between 9 am and 7 pm.
Anyone who thinks of a circus as nothing more than a big tent and a traditional ring will be in for a surprise here. Roncalli’s performances are spread throughout the garden and form part of the walking tour. The theme “Bonjour Paris!” brings a touch of French flair to Wattens. The whimsical world of the circus meets the sprawling gardens, the Tyrolean mountain landscape and the sparkling artworks of the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. The result is a setting that can probably only be experienced here.
The shows are spread throughout the day. This means you can tailor your visit to suit your own preferences and be surprised time and time again.
In between, there is plenty of time to explore the various areas of the garden. Particularly impressive, of course, is the crystal cloud hovering above the black, mirror-like water. When the sunlight hits the crystals and the performers take to the stage at the same time, the garden almost feels like a little fantasy world of its own.
It is precisely this combination of art, nature and circus that makes the summer programme more than just an ordinary performance. The circus accompanies visitors throughout the day, turning a simple stroll into a little journey of discovery.
A summer’s day for the whole family
The circus festival is particularly well suited to a family day out. Children can marvel at the colourful costumes, the surprising encounters and the acrobatic feats. Adults are likely to discover just as many lovely details and can enjoy the special atmosphere in the garden.
Even away from the performances, there is plenty for families to experience. The play tower, the maze and the other play areas offer plenty of space for climbing, playing and letting off steam. Quieter spots in the garden, on the other hand, invite you to pause for a moment and enjoy the surroundings.
A peek inside the Giant
After exploring the open air, it’s of course also well worth taking a tour inside the Giant. In the Chambers of Wonders, crystal is showcased in a wide variety of ways – sometimes mysterious and serene, at other times colourful or surprising. A current exhibition also focuses on the Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. It brings an extra touch of film, fashion and glamour to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. The real highlight of the summer programme, however, remains Circus Roncalli with its performances in the garden.
Our tip for a special summer’s day
It’s best to allow plenty of time for a visit. After all, there are not only the circus performances to enjoy, but also the cabinets of curiosities, the Crystal Cloud and the various areas of the garden to discover. The Circus Festival combines entertainment, art and nature, making it ideal for families as well as anyone who enjoys being surprised by an extraordinary atmosphere.
Anyone visiting the Hall-Wattens region this summer should therefore not miss a visit to Wattens.
