Bettelwurf Bike Park. At the foot of the Karwendel Mountains

Nature lovers, mountain bikers and trail riders have a new mecca in the Hall-Wattens holiday region: the new Bettelwurf Bikepark at the foot of the Karwendel Mountains has been brought to life over the past two years thanks to the vision and tremendous dedication of the members of the “Bettelwurf Bikepark” association, in cooperation with Hall-Wattens Tourism and the Austrian Federal Forestry Office.
“The trail park is aimed at both beginners and advanced trail riders. Families, young people and adults alike will also find plenty to enjoy on the range of trails and lines, from easy to more challenging,” explains Fritz Köck from the Bettelwurf Bikepark association.

The new Bettelwurf Bike Park consists of an exciting practice area and a small but excellent trail park. The practice area is ideal for practising riding techniques, featuring a pump track, jumps and balance elements, as well as simple, short and beginner-friendly trails.

The woodland site on Absam municipal land, situated between the cross-country ski trail and the gravel pit, where the Bettelwurf Bike Park is now located, has been preserved in its natural state as far as possible. This ensures that visitors to the bike park will continue to enjoy a special recreational space in the heart of nature. The layout of all the features has been carefully chosen to minimise any impact on the natural environment. As a result, the trees continue to provide welcome shade, vital oxygen and a habitat for the local wildlife.

The Bettelwurf Bike Park, situated right next to the Karwendel Nature Park expands the extensive range of exercise and sporting activities on offer in the Hall-Wattens region. “When it comes to mountain biking, the Hall-Wattens region offers cycling enthusiasts over 100 kilometres of marked trails across eleven varied, official routes,” reports Martin Friede from Hall-Wattens Tourism. The Bettelwurf Bike Park is also ideally suited for e-bike training.
