5-Pin Billiards World Championship. Press release
From 9 to 12 November 2023, the Hall-Wattens region will become the centre of the billiards world: As a special ‘world premiere’ event, the women’s singles competition and the national teams’ team competition will take place simultaneously under one roof at the Salzlager Hall in Tyrol.
Following the huge success in 2022, when Hall in Tirol hosted the first European Championships for national teams in 5-pin billiards to be held in Austria, the Austrian Billiards Federation (BSVÖ) was immediately asked to organise another major international tournament.
With the active support of the Hall-Wattens Regional Tourism Board, the town of Hall, livelocation Salzraum Hall and the Province of Tyrol, it was a straight success to to convince all parties involved to host the very first ever double event in the history of 5-pin billiards in Hall in Tirol in November 2023. Two world championship titles will be awarded from 9 to 12 November: the first-ever women’s singles world title and the second edition of the national teams’ event will be seeking their new champions.
This prestigious event will attract the 16 best national teams and the 12 best women from around the world to Tyrol.
Spectators are warmly invited to the Salzlager Hall to experience the world-championship atmosphere first-hand. Watch the world’s best athletes as the pins fall and once again it’s time to say: in bocca al lupo.
