Route description: This tour sets off from the second Ladhütte in Halltal valley. The uphill trail has steep hairpin bends through the Bettelwurfreise (gravel field); there are wire ropes set into the rock face parts of the way. The trail leads straight up to the Bettelwurfhütte mountain shelter (built in 1894; approx. 2½ h.). Another hour’s hike will take you to Lafatscherjoch (2,085 m/6,840 ft.). Then take the rocky trail downhill to Issboden via Issjöchl to the Herrenhäuser buildings, to St. Magdalena and back to Halltal car park.
