In search of local flowers and herbs we will learn a lot of new things about their importance
for man and nature. At an idyllically located place we will taste fresh farmhouse bread with a spread made from the selfpicked herbs and honey, plus lots of tips and recipes to take home. Simply delicious!

On the trail of St. Romedius
This easy hike leads to the castle ruins of Thaur, where curious sleuths can explore the history of this area also digitally - with a mobile phone or tablet. The tour ends at the Church of St. Romedius, visible from afar and dedicated to the village saint. His significance and fascination for Thaur and its people is omnipresent still today. An exhibition on the upper floor of the Romediwirt Inn provides information about the owl-birds in the Karwendel Nature Park. Woohoo!

Summit Tour on the Glungezer
Take the Glungezerbahn cable car from Tulfes valley station (2 sections) to the Tulfeinalm mountain station. From there, the hike leads through old stone pine stands to Zirbensee lake and Zirbenweg path. There are many stories, legends and anecdotes about the „White Mountain“ (2677m), which makes the way to the summit cross entertaining. With one of the oldest stone pine stands in Europe, the Tux Alps are a unique natural jewel. Hip hip hooray!

On the trail of Nature
The hike leads along a path through the forest to the Hinterhornalm pasture. With a herb educator we get to know and identify edible herbs and plants along the way. The freshly prepared spread on fresh farmhouse bread tastes delicious! Recipes for your own cooking pot are available to take home. A culinary hiking trip!

Discovery of the Halltal Valley
A shuttle service (21 May to 25 September) takes you from the Halltal entrance to St. Magdalena pasture. On wild and romantic paths along the Halltal stream we hike in
Austria‘s largest nature park, the Karwendel. The hike leads in front of breathtaking scenery to the Issboden, which is known for its plant diversity. Equipped with Swarovski binoculars and with a bit of luck you can also observe chamois, ibex and golden eagles! Wow!
