Tyrol's largest vegetable garden - Haller Radish Festival
The area around the villages of Thaur and Absam is often described as "Tyrol's largest vegetable garden“. 60% of all radishes and many other vegetable varieties grown in Austria are cultivated here. The harvest is celebrated at the Radish Festival at Stiftsplatz in Hall with music, local delicacies and of course a lot of radishes.

Culture and cuisine in harmony - Music in the Giant
Culture and cuisine are a seductive symbiosis. During the festival „Music in the Giant“ at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds, your ears are spoiled with breathtaking sounds. Elated by the music, you proceed to the gourmet restaurant Daniels Kristallwelten and enjoy a relaxing evening in pleasant surroundings.

The Alps - Stone pine days at the Glungezer
The stone pine, also called „Queen of the Alps“, is very prevalent at the Glungezer mountain. Here, where the largest Swiss stone pine forest in Central Europe is located and its characteristic scent is in the air, we celebrate Tyrol‘s second Swiss stone pine days. Guided tours on natural history, carver artists and a lecture by the university professor Maximilian Moser round off the Swiss stone pine days high above the Hall-Wattens region.

Mountain adventure world - Kugelwald am Glungezer

On holiday with kith & kin - Kugelwald Adventure World
The mountain adventure world „Kugelwald am Glungezer“ is the largest outdoor marble run in the world. In this unique adventure playground you can be creative and build your own wooden track or simply relax and enjoy the natural environment. In addition to the mountain adventure world, there is also an extensive range of workshops for the little ones in the realm of the giant in the Swarovski Crystal Worlds.

Nature Park of the year 2020 - Experience the Karwendel Nature Park
During a nature watch tour, you will explore the flora and fauna of the Karwendel Nature Park. Equipped with binoculars from Swarovski Optik and a bit of luck you will discover the golden eagle, the king of the sky. A short break at the Walderalm with tasting of the award-winning Tyrolean Kaspressknödel (cheese dumpling) is a must on this tour.

Autumn in Tirol - Bio Bergbauernfest
In the Hall-Wattens holiday region in the heart of Tyrol, culinary delights are celebrated with great enthusiasm. The regional farmers invite you to taste their delicacies during the organic mountain farmer festival in September. On an easy hike through the colourful autumn landscape, you will learn interesting facts about the region and its magical places.

Cattle Drive Absam

Cattle drives festival - Equine Festival in Mils
Whether it is the ceremonial driving down of cattle from the mountain pastures in Absam or the equine festival in autumn in Mils: traditions are not only written in capital letters in the Hall-Wattens region, they are still lived. Culinary highlights not to be missed!

Hall in Tirol

Journey into the Middle Ages - Medieval Festival Hall in Tirol
For the second time, the medieval festival will take place in Hall in Tirol. As a special attraction, salt will be boiled again: For three days, a fireplace is heated under a brewing copper in order to produce salt, just like in earlier times. In addition, Hall‘s old town is brought back to life by craftsmen, musicians, fire artists, jugglers and marketeers.

Mountain Winter in the Heart of the Alps - Winter Magic & Christmas Markets
The beauty of Tyrolean’s landscape in the winter can be enjoyed during sportive activities high above the valley or a guided city tour in the old town of Hall, accompanied by a delicious cup of mulled wine at the Hall Advent market.

Matschgerer Absam

Shrovetide Celebrations
At the largest carnival event in the Hall-Wattens region you can experience old Tyrolean customs at close quarters. The participation in the Absamer Matschgerer parade is a must during the carnival period, the so-called fifth season. Take the opportunity and get an insight into this centuries-old tradition in advance.
