Every Thursday at 2 p.m., guests of the Hall-Wattens region can take part in a cultural and nature tour in Thaur as part of the weekly summer holiday programme.
This easy hike leads to the castle ruins of Thaur, where curious sleuths can also explore the history of this area digitally - with a mobile phone or tablet. Theatre enthusiasts are also always taken with this place, which is still an open-air theatre today. The tour ends at the Romedikirchl, which can be seen from afar and is dedicated to the village saint S. Romedio. His significance and fascination for Thaur and its people is still omnipresent today. Finally, the „Romediwirt“ invites you to linger and provides food and drink on request. An exhibition on the upper floor of the inn provides information about the owl birds in the Karwendel Nature Park. Eagle owl!
