For Fritzens and Wattens, leave from what is known as the Hackl, the entrance to the Hall valley (car-park), then pass Gasthof Walderbrücke (Gnadenwald), the St Martin chapel, the Farbental and the Bärenbach.
Continue on foot from Wattens or else take it easy and use the mountain hut taxi as far as Lager Walchen (army camp) in the Wattens valley. Walk from the western side of Swarovski Works II in Wattens via the Vögelsbergweg (path) or the toboggan run as far as Gasthaus Vögelsberg.
From there follow the path via the Ried-Hof to Gasthof Säge. Continue along the forest track near the Wattentalstrasse and on to Gasthaus Hanneburger. From Gasthaus Hanneburger take the Wattentalstrasse straight to Lager Walchen, an Austrian army's training area. Walkers must stay on marked footpaths in the military zone.
