Winter walks & torch-lit walks

The Hall-Wattens region can offer winter walkers a well-developed network of paths. You might want a leisurely stroll after a meal or a demanding winter walking tour. Whatever you prefer, every type of walker will find a favourite. Romantic trails through snowy forests alternate with pathways beside wintry water meadows in the Inn valley and panoramic routes with great views.

MONDAYS 2 p.m. – Hiking – Snowshoe trek (Valid from 1 December 2015 to 31 March 2016)
through winter wonderland Join us on a cross-country trek across Tulferberg mountain. The snow crunches softly underfoot as you discover the splendours of this winter wonderland. A magical experience that will long remain with you!

➜Price for guests: Guided hike free; rental fee for snowshoes EUR 5 per person
➜Regular price: Guided hike EUR 6 per person, rental fee for snowshoes EUR 10 per person

➜Important! If there is too little snow, we’ll have a regular winter hike instead!

TUESDAYS 10 a.m. – Walking – Snow Yetis on tour – Crystal hike in tulfes (Valid from 1 December 2015 to 31 March 2016)
Why is snow white and why does it crunch underfoot? What importance do crystals have to the Hall-Wattens region? An experienced walking guide will take you through the enchanting winter wonderland of the Tux Alps in search of answers to these and other questions. Of course there will also be enough time for a quick schnappstasting session with a local farmer!

➜Meeting-place: Tulfes Tourist Board, Schmalzgasse 27, Tulfes
➜Price for guests: Guided hike free; the tourist board will provide visitors with walking sticks

FRIDAYS 10 a.m. – Hiking – Winter nature watch – Tracks in the snow (Valid from 1 December 2015 to 31 March 2016)
Nature Watch also offers a fantastic winter experience. Equipped with Swarovski binoculars, snowshoes and accompanied by an experienced Nature Watch tour guide you will explore the winter landscape of the Tyrol. On your journey of discovery through the Karwendel Alpine Nature Reserve (the largest of its kind in Austria), you will spot tracks in the snow and experience nature virtually untouched by man. The Tourist Board will provide visitors with walking sticks free of charge.

Torch-lit walks in Gnadenwald
Awaiting you on the plateau in Gnadenwald is an evocative programme of walks. Under the direction of an experienced mountain guide, you can explore the beautifully snowy landscape in the gentle glow of torchlight.

Time: at any time on request from 10 persons
Cost: with guest-card free, otherwise € 6 per person (incl. rental fee for torches)
Recommended equipment: rucksack, ski pants, anorak, fleece or pullover, cap, gloves. Torches provided by the tourist board.
