Wattens Local History and Industry Museum provides a graphic and impressive insight into the past and present world of the small market town of Wattens and its surrounding area.
A rich collection of artefacts found at the Himmelreich prehistoric site, i.e. amphora, tools and weapons, are on display here, as well as many fascinating photos and objects charting the growth of the town and the development of Wattens' two major industrial concerns, Swarovski and Wattenspapier.
The Himmelreich open-air museum is freely accessible at all times.
Regular guided tours take place from 20th June until 19th September, 2008, on Friday 17.00 to 18.00.
