This themed walk takes us through the lanes and squares in the city of Hall, its signage and fountain figures, but also the classic sights in Tyrol's largest medieval Old Town area, e.g. the St. Nikolaus Parish Church, the former Royal House and Burg Hasegg. But the emphasis here is not on the town's historical development, but on the handicrafts and its master craftsmen.

TYING THE KNOT – Extraordinary weddings in Hall in Tirol

What was the Tyrolean marriage scandal that shocked the whole of Europe? It happened about 700 years ago, almost toppled the Emperor from his throne and brought some important benefits to the local townspeople. Why did Emperor Maximilian I always want to pair people off? Where does the white wedding dress come from? Why is romantic love something of a luxury in our time? These and similar questions are addressed as we take an entertaining tour through the Old Town area.
This tour is specifically intended for wedding parties or wedding anniversaries.

MONEY RULES THE WORLD – Salt, silver, and the world's first "dollar"

As well as the classic theme of coins and mints, also included in the tour are some surviving historic buildings, such as the Lobkowitz Building, the Medienturm (Media Tower), the Salt Warehouse, the Barbara Pillar and the Mint Gate in the castle area.

PILGRIMAGE IN HALL-WATTENS REGION
– then and now, a closer look at Absam and Hall

The itinerary looks in detail at Absam and Hall, i.e. a town that is still very much a place of pilgrimage and one that used to be (Florian Waldauf). The guided tour includes the basilica, votive plaque chapels and the old cemetery in Absam, possibly also the House of the Apparition. The visitor will hear and see everything there is to know about the famous apparition of the Virgin Mary and the subsequent devotion. In the course of a walk through the village, on request and by appointment, the House of the Apparition can be visited. Back in Hall, we go back in time and examine the story behind the famous knight, Florian Waldauf, and his chapel on the north side of Hall parish church, the Hall Relic Stand and the veneration of relics at the time of the Reformation.
