Igloo village at 2,600m above sea level

The Igloo Village on the Glungezer in the Hall-Wattens region will probably open around Christmas 2015 and will offer, usually until Easter 2016 (subject to the snow conditions), a wide-ranging package and a fabulous mountain adventure for winter sports fans.

Ten igloos are available until the end of winter and at 2,600m above sea level, the view over around 500 mountain tops and passes is simply unbelievable. You can enjoy these impressive views to the full either at the snow bar, or in even more comfort, from the loungers on the sun terrace.

Access is via the Schartenkogel with touring skis or snowshoes.

The following are recommended: suitable snow clothing, warming socks, a hat, winter-proof shoes and gloves, plus thermal underwear, a sleeping bag (suitable for temperatures down to -30°C), a roll mat, head torch, sunglasses and sunscreen. Snowshoes and ski equipment available for hire on site.

Rucksack transport from the Schartenkogel arranged for you.
