Children's birthday parties

White gold on your birthday

It could be a child's birthday, a Shrovetide party or another special occasion. Whatever the celebration, if it's in the Mining Museum it will always be a hit with the younger ones. With helmet and lamp off they go "underground" where all can see just how hard the life of the miners who worked in the Halltal Valley was. If they listen carefully, they will be able to answer the mystery question and then earn a salty souvenir! The hungry "miners" then get a pizza and fruit juice in the Ghosts' Castle, where the birthday boy or girl also receives a little gift.

Duration of the guided tour: about 1,5 hours
Price per person: € 15,00 (incl. guided tour, gift, pizza and fruit juice)
Minimum no. of participants: 10 people and 1 adult supervisor required

The search for the solution means exploring the length and breadth of the museum. If you can solve the puzzle, your reward is the chance to mint a coin for yourself.

A feast in the castle

A medieval tumbler

A medieval banquet is staged for the birthday boy or girl, together with invited guests, in Hall's Archaeology Museum in Burg Hasegg. The players in this re-enactment are the children themselves. Once the lord and lady have taken their place at the table, the ceremony can begin. Jugglers and dancing bears provide the entertainment.
During the ceremony, the children gain an insight into the culture of the medieval banquet by seeing for themselves from the exhibits in the collection, what went on to the table of rich and poor families.
During the quiz that follows, delicacies prepared to a medieval recipe go to the winners.

Duration: about 1,5 hours
Price: € 15,00 per child
Minimum no. of participants: 10 people and 1 adult supervisor required
Also included: a birthday present and a small gift for guests, plus pizza and fruit juice
