Route description: This beautiful circular trail is mostly through forests but still gives you plenty of views of the mountain landscape. At Mairbach, on the southern slope of Walder Joch, the forest trail turns off to Maria Schnee-Kapelle (Our Lady of the Snows Chapel) and to Gasthaus Schönblick. This is where the trail begins uphill from the Inn valley to the Ganalm mountain shelter in Vomper Loch. The trail leads westwards along the northern slope of Walder Joch to the very rustic Ganalm (1,190 m/3,904 ft.). Afterwards, either take the left footpath through green meadows or the right forest trail to Walderalm which is set in a breath-taking location. The forest trail will take you back down to Gnadenwald.
