9th International Sprachsalz Literary Festival
September 2011, Parkhotel, Hall in Tirol

Some 20 or so writers have received invitations to read extracts from their works at Hall in Tirol's 7th "Sprachsalz".  "Literature for all" is the message the organisers are seeking to propagate. The readings and talks (free of charge) with authors in the stylish atmosphere of the Parkhotel, Kurhaus Hall, the Ablinger.Garber Media Tower and Wäscherei P (Cultural centre in the psychiatric hospital) will also be a fine cultural event for the many writers, who love this "delightful festival" (Kenzaburô Ôe) or find it simply "magnificent" (Alberto Manguel).
And when you've spent virtually three whole days at the 6th Sprachsalz reading, discussing and celebrating, all you can do is look forward to next year. "More Hall" (Peter O. Chotjewitz)
Tyrolean Festival of Fairytales and Myths
From August to October 2011,
Wattens, Wattensberg, Innsbruck

Children and their parents will once again be magically entertained at the Tyrolean Festival of Fairytales and Myths in Wattens-Wattenberg. This enchanting festival is all about variety and excitement for both children and grown-ups. Famous fairy-tales and ancient myths from and about the Tyrol are staged at the festival in a modern, but fun way. Out on the meadows or in the woods, in the fairytale hay barn or in an old farmhouse, the fairytales that the children and families hear retold are always something very special.
