Tyrol's largest nature park, the Karwendel Nature Park, wildly romantic mountain valleys and famous peaks as well as leisurely, gentle walks in the valley: in the Hall-Wattens region, passionate summiteers get their money's worth just as much as pleasure-oriented nature lovers. Many long-distance hiking trails cross our region, such as the Munich-Venice, Karwendel Höhenweg, Inntaler Höhenweg 2000, two pilgrimage trails, the challenging Via Alpina and stages of the famous Adlerweg.

The Karwendel mountains

The Karwendel Nature Park between the Inn and Isar rivers, Lake Achensee and the Seefeld valley is a protected area with many special features and has scenic beauty of international importance, with the advantage of being right on the doorstep of the Tyroleans.
In this case, the inconspicuous is so close and the Halltal valley offers countless opportunities to enjoy nature! The Karwendel has a primeval alpine landscape that is unique in Europe, such as the Kleiner and Großer Ahornboden, the Tortal, with the highest rock faces in the Karwendel Nature Park and also a "Grand Canyon", the Vomperloch! It was voted Nature Park of the Year in 2020!

The Tux Alps

The Tux Alps offer a varied hiking area for leisure hikers and mountaineers. Various valleys, such as the Wattental and the Voldertal, shine with wonderfully untouched nature. The Glungezer offers fun for the whole family with activities on the mountain such as the mountain adventure world "Kugelwald am Glungezer", the Zirbensee or the hike along the Zirbenweg. The Glungezerhütte, Tulfeinalm and Lizumer Hütte offer culinary highlights. It is always a special experience to return to the hut after a hike and treat yourself to a cool drink. Various summit crosses are waiting to be climbed - the summit of the Largoz or the Schartenkogel offer magnificent views of the Inntal valley and the Karwendel mountains opposite.

With or without Nordic walking poles, with friends or family - in the Hall-Wattens region, everyone will find their own personal hiking paradise, whether it's an autumn or summer vacation in Tyrol. The Glungezer mountain railroad, numerous refreshment stops in rustic huts and mountain pastures as well as our digital hiking pins round off the mountain experience - perfect conditions for your hiking vacation in Tyrol.

Blumenparadies Issboden im Halltal

Sonntag um 09:00 Uhr wandern wir in den Naturpark Karwendel. Mit einem Shuttleservice geht es vom Eingang Halltal bis nach St. Magdalena. Auf wildromantischen Steigen entlang des Halltalbaches wandern wir im größten Naturpark Österreichs, dem Karwendel. Die Wanderung führt vor atemberaubender Kulisse zum Issboden, der für seine Pflanzenvielfalt bekannt ist. Ausgerüstet mit Swarovski Ferngläsern lassen sich mit etwas Glück auch Gämsen, Steinböcke und Steinadler beobachten!

Wildkräuter mit allen Sinnen genießen

Am Dienstag um 10:00 Uhr findet in Tulfes die geführte Wanderung WILDKRÄUTER MIT ALLEN SINNEN GENIESSEN statt. Auf der Suche nach heimischen Blumen und Kräutern lernen wir viel Neues über deren Bedeutung für Mensch und Natur. An einem idyllisch gelegenen Jausenplatzl verkosten wir frisches Bauernbrot mit einem Aufstrich aus den zuvor selbstgepflückten Kräutern. Dazu gibt es viele Tipps und Rezepte zum Mitnehmen. Einfach köstlich!

Wald und Wild für Groß und Klein

Geführte Wanderung Gnadenwald am Samstag um 14:00 Uhr - Mit Ferngläsern von Swarovski und einem Naturführer an der Seite erkunden wir den
Usterberg. Mit etwas Glück entdecken wir so manche Alpenblume und beobachten Wildtiere und Vögel in ihrer natürlichen Umgebung. Der Berg, der Wald und seine Tiere, eine fantastische Symbiose, die uns viel über das Zusammenspiel von Natur, Flora und Fauna lehrt.
